Glenmorangie 18yrs Single Malt Whisky 700ml

Part of Glenmorangie’s Prestige Range, Glenmorangie 18 Year Old spent its first 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks. After this time, 30% was transferred to Oloroso sherry casks where it spent its final days, as the rest remained in bourbon casks. After 18 years has passed in total, the whisky was reunited and bottled at 43% ABV. A thick, creamy and fruity single malt Scotch whisky presented in a wonderfully elegant bottle. It certainly looks prestigious.

The last hours of a perfect autumn day when the world looks like a golden dream filled with cookie-coloured leaves and butterscotch skies… What would that taste like? The answer is, this dazzling, luminous whisky – a rhapsody of warm tones like purple heather, leaves swirling in the wind and hues of lemon, copper and gold.

To create it,  the silky, fruity spirit is gathered from the giraffe-high stills and let it steep in American oak casks. No less than 15 years later, a portion is transferred into Oloroso sherry casks for three more years. Once 18 years have passed, they are reunited to create its warm balance of sweet, floral lushness. Rich marmalade flavours brush against honey and fig, touches of caramelized orange and far-off campfire smoke. Have a taste, and let your imagination wander to the edge of an autumn afternoon.
