Jura THE SOUND Single Malt Whisky matures in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak and 15-year-old Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
This single malt is dedicated to the dangerous Corryvreckan swirl. The Corryvreckan Swirl is a strait in Scotland. The name means ‘the Cauldron of the Spotted Sea’.
Another delicious travel retail whisky from Jura.
This bottling is named after the Sound of Jura, also known as the Gulf of Corryvreckan – which takes its name from a perilous whirlpool that Ardbeg fans will be familiar with.
The spirit itself has been matured in former Bourbon American white oak barrels before a finish in casks which had previously held Pedro Ximenez casks for 15 years.
The result is a well balanced dram that offers up succulent notes of sweet grapes, red berries, cinnamon, peat, oily nuts, vanilla, chocolate, syrupy sherry and toffee.
A lovely dram that showcases a different side to Jura’s spirit.
