A fabulous Glenfiddich 21 Year Old single malt whisky bottling from Glenfiddich, and as its name suggests this particular single malt was finished in casks used previously to age Caribbean rum for four months! Some cask influence in the form of tropical fruit and spicy ginger to be found in here.
They use casks that once contained premium Caribbean rum to finish this 21 Year Old expression. It’s the details that matter. This expression spends four months finishing in Gran Reserva barrels selected by their Malt Master, adding to its distinctive and complex flavour.
Experience an intense and vanilla sweet aroma, floral with hints of banana, followed by a soft, lively taste with lime, ginger and spice and a complex and exceptionally long ending.
The rum finish releases layers of intensity and sets this 21 Year Old apart from other whiskies.
The return of the name Reserva to Glenfiddich’s 21yo after a few years under different titles is also accompanied by an upgrade to its packaging. It is still finished in rum casks for four months, but now has a more elegant presentation, as befits its position towards the top of the distillery’s regular range.
Savour it neat, on ice, with a mixer or in a cocktail.

Nose:Â Barley sugar, malt and dark brown sugar, with orange peels, marmalade, manuka honey, chocolate and foam bananas.
Palate:Â Full, fruitcake, spices, buttery vanilla, malty, with oak and candied ginger.
Finish:Â Long, with notes of mochaccino and marmalade.
