The Glenrothes Robur Reserve Tasting Notes
Nose:Â Sherry on the nose, sweet Olosoro, pepper, berry fruits, calves leather and cedar wood.
Palate:Â Sweet spices, nutmeg, prune juice, a hint of uncooked pastry, a little golden syrup and Demerara rum.
Finish:Â Cloves, more of those prunes, a hint of dried apricot and toasted barley.
The Glenrothes Distillery in located in a small Speyside town that is called Rothes. There it is producing premium whiskies since 1879.
A certain amount of Glenrothes’ whisky is used to create well-known blended Scotches like The Famous Grouse and Cutty Sark. But the great quality of the own single malts is not to be underestimated as well as the Glenrothes Robur Reserve demonstrates.
