Oban Distillers Edition 700ml

The Oban Distillery has gone and made another delicious Oban Distillers Edition single malt Scotch whisky! This edition was distilled back in 2006 and left to mature until 2020, but not before enjoying a finishing period in Montilla Fino sherry casks. These casks help to impart a subtle salty tang to the whisky, as well as helping to bolster the notes of dried fruit and nutty barley. Outstanding as always, Oban!

The founders of Oban distillery were entrepreneurs who imported and exported goods for which they could sense a demand. They would have approved of the Spanish influence brought to bear in this Montilla Fino cask wood finish. A seriously complex whisky of the highest order – a glorious zesty nose and plenty of sweet fruit complemented by salt and chewy, roasty caramel malt.

All six of the ‘Classic Malts’ have released limited edition ‘Distiller’s editions’, which are finished in special casks selected by the master distiller.
