The Fujisan Japanese Blended Whisky is a blended grain whiskey from the Nirasaki Distillery. It takes its name from the famous Mount Fuji, symbol of Japan because the distillery is located at the foot of this beautiful mountain. It is a rare whisky, with limited availability in Japan in the Koshu region only.
The water used is soft and pure, coming from wells dug in the forests of Mount Fuji at more than 1000 m of altitude.
The Fujisan Japanese Blended Whisky Tasting Notes
Dark amber in color, its palate is rich and the aromas are complex and elegant, while remaining delicate. Slight notes of vanilla, caramel, tobacco and licorice.
AROMAS: Vanilla beans, creme brulee, galette, dried fig, apricot, and a hint of anise.
FLAVORS: Mellow and smooth mouthfeel with malty, creamy flavors, and then rye spiciness.
FINISH: Moderately woody, very slight peat makes it crisp and then a delicate sweetness follows. Complex and moderately long aftertaste with hints of dried fruits.
