The youthful, fresh and vibrant first range from Viña Undurraga. Hugely appealing to all palates. The ‘U’ by Undurraga wines capture the personality and characteristics of Viña Undurraga. Produced in Chile’s Central Valley, the soils are alluvial in origin, medium textured, loamy to sandy-loam and well drained. The climate is sub-humid Mediterranean. About the Winery

Established in 1885, Undurraga is not only one of the oldest but also one of the most respected wine companies in Chile. In 1903, the Undurraga wine group became the first Chilean winery to export wines to the US. Today, these wines are exported to over 70 countries and are loved by wine connoisseurs across the globe.

Francisco Undurraga, the founder of this company, began planting the first Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir in the vineyards here, after they were imported from France. The vines of Riesling and Gewurztraminer were imported from Germany. It was around 1883, that he started planning the Undurraga winery. The wood for the oak barrels in which the wines were fermented, was imported from Bosnia.
